REMINDER – TO ALL ARTISTS: We are looking forward to receiving any art work you may feel able to loan to us for display in WI House.
You will all be aware that we are a Registered Charity and are therefore governed by the Charity Commission's regulations on “gambling”. This means that a WI can no longer purchase any Prize Draw raffle tickets with their members’ funds as this is deemed as “gambling”.
However, individual members ARE able to buy their own tickets. So rather than discontinue this Prize Draw we have decided to offer every member the fantastic opportunity to take part for just £5 per ticket. This entitles you to be included in each draw for the whole of the Worcestershire Winners year!!!!There is also no restriction on the number of tickets you can buy, so remember:
You’ve got to be in it, to win it!
Unfortunately this legislation is beyond our control and we, as ever, greatly appreciate your support.

FASCINATING FACTS FOR FEBRUARY: This year February 29 is the 60th day of a leap year. A leap day is more likely to occur on Mondays or Wednesdays rather than other days because the Gregorian calendar repeats itself every 400 years. It occurs every four years in years evenly divisible by four. A tradition was introduced many centuries ago to allow women to propose to men during a leap year. Leap day was sometimes known as “Bachelors’ Day”. A man was expected to pay a penalty, such as a gown or money, if he refused a marriage offer from a woman- So come on girls go for it !!!!!
